My FIRST Welding Project!

—Building my Metal Workbench—

So I’ve wanted to dive into welding for a very long time. In a lot of ways, I felt like welding would expand the projects and actually decrease costs while building tables with metal legs. But while I always wanted to get into it, I didn’t know where to start. After lots of research, I settled on the ESAB Rebel 215ic. The thing that sold me on the welder is the SMIG system! This “Smart” system takes a lot of the calculating out of it when setting up for MIG welding. (I’ll be doing a video on this soon to come!)

So, starting out I figured a workbench would be the most important thing to build. It will be the thing I work on most and it will help me organize my welding and fabricating tools. I designed the bench to be functional and mobile. It was a pretty simple process, but I had a lot of ugly welds. For my first project, I was not too upset with the result! Check out the video below!
