Remodeling a Vintage Trailer!

Man, I have wanted to do this for a very long time! We found this 1977 vintage camper trailer for $1500 on Facebook. We started diving into this huge project almost immediately! (Video Below)

So I started this project by taking off the cabinet doors and the front window cover. Obviously that front window cover is super ugly! So we took out the old fiberglass and I built a cedar cover to attach to the frame. I then proceeded to paint the cabinet doors, inside of the trailer walls, and the applied a clear finish. Next we tackled the ceiling water damage. After pulling down the panels, we saw that the insulation and panels needed replaced. (See Video Below)

Next we took on the issues with the water tanks. There were several cracks in the black and gray tanks. Along with that, we took out the old toilet. These were pretty simple repairs. (See video below)

Next we went back to work on the ceiling and roof. Make sure there were no leaks and that the inside ceiling was all finished up. (See video below)

Next, we went through and got the bathroom complete! (See video below)

Next, we work in the interior of the camper. We installed shiplap, worked on the flooring, put in the new fridge, added a new faucet and attached the bunk bed cabinet. (See video below)

Last step was too paint the exterior! This was the most intimidating step of the build! Once you start, there is no going back!

And that’s a wrap! It was a super fun project! We had a blast. We have already gone through and took it out camping a ton!
